Easter is the holiday of eggs. And coffee. So what do you do when you want to stay relevant during those brunchy days? You organise the first ever Instagram scavenger hunt. Dûh.

The first time ever real life Instagram Scavenger Hunt

50 teams had to complete 10 tasks throughout Rotterdam, earning points along each step. All tasks were posted, answered and monitored on Instagram using task specific hashtags. Tasks included egg-searching, coffee-sack races, coffee tasting and leapfrogging. Prizes to be won: a brand spanking new La Marzocco Mini (the king amongst home coffee machines), a year long Man Met Bril Koffie subscription, and free coffees and breakfasts all over!

A bit of a reach

We invited media outlets and Instagram influencers and flyers were distributed amongst Man Met Bril Koffie clients. The “Te Gekke Man Met Bril Koffie Instagram Paasspeurtocht” was picked up by several local media, and the Instagram account grew over 20%. During the day the players’ posts had a combined reach of over 117.000 impressions. Not bad for a local micro roaster ehh?
